Farm to Table Dinner Event set in downtown Savannah

Come celebrate Agritourism as we begin to wrap up the end of the Farmers Market season at the seventh annual Farm to Table Dinner in downtown Savannah, Tennessee. Hardin County Tourism will host the Farmers Market themed event “this little piggy went to market” focusing on a salute to pork products with all the trimmings, plus a fun fall celebration of agritourism.

The outdoor dinner will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at the Savannah Market set against the backdrop of Savannah’s downtown.

The menu will be comprised of pulled pork, ribs, bacon, baloney appetizers and entrees served with locally sourced vegetables. We are partnering with the Hardin County High School Culinary department as lead caterer and will include a few additional local restaurateurs to create the full menu.

Our own local UT Extension and 4-H teams will also pitch in to complete the hosting collaboration. Guests will enjoy meats, seasonal vegetables, breads, cheeses, Tennessee spirits, and delicious desserts! There will be door prizes, photo-opps, special treats, and music by Steve Cagle, perfect for an after-dinner dance or two.

From Our Tourism Director

“We love the idea of gathering in the fall, when the air is beginning to feel crisp and folks can enjoy an outdoor social gathering,” says Beth Pippin, Hardin County Tourism Director. “It’s a perfect fit for a celebration of combining good food, good friends, and good fun.”
