A two-mile drive or stroll past 17 historical homes and one commercial building that depict several architectural styles of the era. The homes are privately owned, but visitors are encouraged to stroll or drive through the scenic area to take pictures.

The Savannah Historic Trail is located within the Wayne Jerrolds Riverside Park along the banks of the beautiful Tennessee River. The Historic Trail includes historic markers, reader boards, walkways and seating areas focusing on the town’s Civil War history, Queen & Alex Haley, Native Americans and the Trail of Tears featuring an overlook.
